CEO Nicola Swan

Nicola is the founder of The Swan Nest and created this incredible charity after she travelled the journey of complex health conditions and terminal illness with her youngest boy James. Through her journey with James Nicola became passionate about creating a service that was accessible to all families in a similar situation that provided the support and therapies that were not available on their journey.

Nicola has a strong background in early childhood teaching in head teacher positions and later in various management positions. She has the drive to see this become Wellington’s leading children’s charity and ensure that the holistic support our children and families need on these complex journey’s is a reality.

Creating an inclusive environment where children can thrive with therapy and families can feel understood and supported is Nicola’s dream. Determined to succeed Nicola has what it takes to drive this charity forward for The Greater Wellington Region.
